DALE POPE




Lyrical Jazz

Dale Pope is one of the senior teachers at Sydney Dance Company specialising in Lyrical Jazz. With a full career encompassing training at the New Zealand School of Performing Arts, 2x NZ Representative for International Aerobics Championships, performing with Kylie Minogue, Marica Hines, kd lang, and Caroline O’Connor, entertaining royalty – Queen Elizabeth, Prince Edward and the King and Queen of Sweden and most recently dancing in the movie Mao’s Last Dancer, Dale now focuses on her nationwide children’s dance fitness program RED (Raw Energy Dance), teaching and choreographing. Dale is choreographer to Bindi Irwin on Bindi Kid Fitness DVD #1 and #2, Bindi the Jungle Girl TV and DVD series, Bindi and the Crocmen Live Shows, G’day USA Tour 2007 (a career highlight was seeing her work on the New York City Centre stage in front of a 3000 strong audience), Bindi’s music video clip ‘Trouble in the Jungle’ and the Steve Irwin Day release ‘My Dad’. Dale is also NSW State Choreographer and invited International Tour Choreographer for the Australian Girls Choir (of the Qantas Ad fame) and National Dance Co-ordinator for Aus Girls Dance. Dale’s work has been performed on stages in Paris, Rome, Prague, New York and Sydney’s Opera House, but her greatest enjoyment to date has been found working with indigenous children throughout Cape York and Torres Straight Islands.
